In the early 1960s, when Les Rosenthal was a young man working the wheat pit of the Chicago Board of Trade, and Bob Collins was first gaining experience in his father's clearing firm, little did either of them realize that they would one day join forces to create a legendary futures brokerage company.

And yet, some 25 years later, that is exactly what happened.

The 1988 merger of Collins Commodities and Rosenthal & Co. gave birth to Rosenthal Collins Group, a futures brokerage firm that brings the traditional qualities of professional integrity, personal service and customer loyalty into the new era of extremely fast, electronic trading.

As one of the leading futures brokers in the industry, Les Rosenthal was instrumental in founding the National Futures Association, the independent, self-regulatory body of the futures industry. Membership in the NFA has since become a mandatory requirement for all market participants.
